Roshan Ranawana: born 23 March 1981 is a Sarasaviya Awards winning Sri Lankan actor, singer, and a model.
Ranawana made his acting debut with Hiripoda Wessa (2006), and won a Presidential award for Best upcoming actor for his performance. He played the main part of several commercial successes such as Tharaka Mal (2007), Asai Mang Piyabanna (2007), Rosa Kale (2008), Feel My Love (2008), Dancing Star (2009) and Suwanda Danuna Jeewithe (2010).

Roshan Ranawana was born in Sri Lanka, to Kanthi Ranawana and Tony Massillamany. He attended St. Josephs College in Colombo 10 and studied at Asian international School in Colombo 5. His father was a former Rugby player. He has a younger brother named Chanaka Massillamany. He speaks Sinhalese and English.
His debut film was Hiripoda Wassa with Anarkalli Aakarsha Jayatilaka, Chathurika Peiris, Pubudu Chathuranga, and Janith Wickramage which was directed by the Udayakantha Warnasuriya. His second and third films Tharaka Mal and Asai Mang Piyabanna released in 2007.
He became a sensation in Sri Lankan film industry and a household name after the success of Hiripoda Wassa (2006) and Asai Man Piyambanna with south Indian actress Pooja Umashankar (2007). This also earned him the role of broadband ambassador for SLT (Sri Lanka Telecom).
He also participated in Sirasa Dancing Stars Season 1 and got the third place.
He hold the main role of popular teledramas like Vasuda, Sanda nodutu sanda, Divya, Sonduru Sithaththi, Gama thamath sundarai Revathi, Kawya & Sindangana in Sri Lanka and won a Sumathi tele award for Most popular actor for his performance in year 2007. He is also acting in the teledrama Ran Samanalayo.
He was awarded the title "Mr. Sri Lanka". Shortly afterward, he was chosen as the models for the Manhunt International, China for 2002 and won the 7th Place. Ranawana was also participated to the Mr. World, UK and Grassim International, UK in 2003. He was the 2nd Runner up of Best Model of the World, a Turkey competition in the same year. He took 8th place in Mr. International, Singapore competition in 2006, and he won the Best National Costume in two Pagents between 2003 and 2006.
In addition, he appeared in the his own music video "Neela Neth" with Steavan Krishan in 2010.
In 2008 he participated to the 1st series of Sri Lankan reality dance show "Sirasa Dancing Stars" broadcast by Sirasa TV and won the 3rd place. He is one of the judges in the popular beauty contest "Derana Veet Miss Sri Lanka for Miss World" on Derana TV.
